Lunch or Christmas Eve dinner? At Christmas, decorate the table too.

The colours of Christmas, the candles resting on a pyramid of turned glasses, the plates hiding greeting cards: everything is original, even the most traditional of festivals

Lunch or Christmas Eve dinner? At Christmas, decorate the table too.

Christmas is one of the most popular festivals among the young and old. Its magical atmosphere makes us all go a bit back to childhood with the same desire to play to the rhythm of light, colour and poems beneath the tree. Christmas inspires so many different emotions and it's up to you bring them to your home as well!
This year, don’t settle for the usual red tablecloth and a few golden swags. Do more, think big! First of all the tree: how about a composition of fir-shaped poinsettias? Ask your trusted confectioner a structure for layered cakes, like those used in weddings for instance. Wrap it in forest green paper and on each layer place your poinsettias in a circle, the effect will be elegant and festive. You can hang the leftover decorations on walls, furniture drawers, on the table. Now let’s take care of the table. Shall it be prepared for Christmas Eve dinner or Christmas lunch makes little difference. What matters is to feel between your walls an warm atmosphere of serenity and family during the most magical time of the year. So, let’s lay the table together!
Why use the traditional red cloth? This year, surprise people with the choice of a pure white, the accessories will make a difference! Get hold, for example, of a runner: the long, narrow cloth that will run throughout the your table from end to end. Choose a red one and place it on the  white tablecloth. An elegant centrepiece containing holly with pungent leaves and red berries will give a beautiful extra sight.
Following, take care of the tableware, the most elegant you have, possibly white; within each plate, place a cloth napkin, but not before having slipped inside it a personal Christmas greeting for every guest. All sealed with a ribbon and a Christmas decoration. Another important detail are the glasses.
Etiquette recommends a glass for the water, one for the wine and between these two, one for the sparkling wine.
Of course don’t forget bowls for appetizers, decanters and carafes: many products which taste of home ... especially at Christmas!
